Is this a Fair JV exchange?

I have known Mike Filsaime for some time... not known of him, but know him.
Having spoken too him online many times over the years, I thought too myself,
maybe he would be open too promoting my first ebook product. He asked me
to talk too his affiliate manager and arrange something with him.

    well....

Here is the offer I got, maybe you already know it

I'll give you the short version.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
First, they would place my product on their review site, where other
JVs would see it and write a review.

To which, I asked what benefit is that?

'Well you get exposure to lots of JVs where you can ask them to
    partner with you' he said.

OK, sort of like JVnotify or warrior forum and a ton of other places.

'mmmm, not really, good luck with finding JVs with them' came the reply.

If you think, but what do you want in return?

'All you need to do is place some java script on your thankyou page which
gives your buyers an option to download one of Mikes killer products for free.
They are also given a number of upsells which you can make commission on
should they buy - go watch the vid'

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After watching the vid, I thought about the offer.

I get some exposure on a review forum, where I still have to work to get JVs.

For this I place Mikes products on my thanks page and the customers (be they ones I found or any JV found), who are prob still holding their credit card, enter Mikes product system where he hits them with a ton of offers before they get to download anything.

I put this too the affiliate manager and he said it was my best chance to find JVs. Even
though Mike was busy and could not really do a standard JV, but he would look at my
product, however, he felt this was a much better way to get other JVs than any other
    place.

    -----------------------------------------------------

So here are my questions to the JVnotify family!

    1. Is it just me or do you also think that is an unfair offer?

    2. Has anyone tried this offer out and what did you get from it?

    3. Mikes affiliate manager thinks this forum is not a good place to
get jvs - is he right?

    ---------------------

Hmmmm ... this is exactly the same message you posted on The Warrior Forum, including the "3. Mikes affiliate manager thinks this forum is not a good place to
get jvs - is he right?" part.

I've know Mike Filsaime, personally, for years ... and I know his affiliate manager Joe Jablonski. As a matter of fact ... they are both JV Notify Pro partners, and I was even affiliate manager, myself, for Mike during his Butterfly Marketing promotion in early 06' ... so I doubt either one of them is going to tell you that you can't get partners here.

... or perhaps you didn't mean to cut n paste that part.

    Best,

    Mike

Is there a rule that says I cannot post the same questions in another forum?

I am not flaming anyone and have respect for mike... but I am asking other peoples advice on what they think of that deal. If they have taken it and any results.

Did Joe state it would be hard for me to get JVs here.. yes.. I have the convo.

Re: Is this a Fair JV exchange?

Posting the same, exact post in at least 2 different forums ... including the 'quotes', does not exactly come off as a genuine plea for help.

Anyway ... Mike's offer comes with a promo from his side, as well ... so, yes, I'd think it a very good deal for anyone. Integration Marketing has really come into it's own on the Net the last year or 2, and Mike's offer is a solid example.

Joe has never run an offer through here ... and even at that, I'd be surprised he would say anything negative. If he did, it would really have no validity ... purely speculative.

You can also contact Reed very easily ... he's a head mod, here ... and he has my highest recommendation, of course.

    Yes,

after a chat with mike F... he made that clear.

We all know that IMing with people we dont know well (first time I talked to Joe) can be miss understood.

Is this a genuine request for help... you bet.

Would I have used the offer Joe gave me before I made the post in this and WF... NO

Would I use it now.. YES.

So it gain a good result.

As Mike said to me on IM... I maybe should have not used his name and I 100% agree with that. Mike F understood why I made the post and all is good in the marketing world again.

Mmmm K, I guess I jumped the gun. Please understand I've been a forum mod and owner for many years ... and most of us a have a thing against duplicate posts.

Alls well that ends well ... glad you found your answers.

    Mike,
Slightly off topic, but I am wondering why there is an issue with the same post in different forums. While there is certain to be a crossover audience, there are also bound to be some folks on one and not the other. It may also be possible that an individual with a good response for you might pick up you post and answer it on one forum and never see it in the other.

I am, of course, assuming here that folks are posting with a genuine need for good advice and not simply trying to collect data for marketing purposes.

I know I have posted similar questions in more than one forum with the best of intentions. Is it truly a problem when I do that? I am relatively new to the the IM world and am still learning the courtesies.

    Thanks Mike,

    Karl,

Fair or unfair is not the question.

What will the end result be?

If any help from Mike brings you business - even if you go in the hole getting it - is worth it IF you have a solid extended business model.

Re: Is this a Fair JV exchange?

    Hi, James.

Years ago .... when forum marketing was in it's infancy, it was common to see folks run from forum to forum with a cut and paste post that varied little ... if at all, in each instance ... in an effort to gain as much thinly veiled promotional exposure as possible, even if the content appeared to be specifically directed toward that one forum ... only the name of the forum was changed, making the posts clearly appear to be nothing more than drive by ads ... however well disguised, and many forum owners and mods learned to keep an eye out for them.

Even if that isn't the case ... to cut and paste posts word for word and post the duplicates on multiple forums usually comes across as plain lazy, at least in my honest opinion.

    Best,

    Mike

    1. Is it just me or do you also think that is an unfair offer?

I know from experence that this is a great offer, if you have a good product.

    2. Has anyone tried this offer out and what did you get from it?

Yes I did it with SEOcodebreaker and they did sell a good number for me, plus hyperJava is a money maker for everybody. IT ROCKS

    3. Mikes affiliate manager thinks this forum is not a good place to
get jvs - is he right?

I got a huge number of affiliate from this forum with my last launch and even more that I know one on one that are helping me with some other projects. So yes this is a great place, but you get out of it what you put in.

    Thanks
