Holy Cow! We're almost 1200 partners strong now!

    Hello everyone,

It's hard to believe that around 1000 new
partners have joined since Mike invited me
into the previous manifestation that was
just a notification list and bulletin
    board, if I remember correctly.

I hope that everyone, who Mike's "rants"
are intended for, are not offended and do
    take his points to heart.

I admittedly, find myself inceasingly with
less and less time to participate in forum
    activities and discussions.

I also fully admit that my only posts here
are announcements of my own cross promotion
offer. So, I'm possibly one of the subjects
of Mike's rants. See? I'm not offended. We
all can use a good "kick-in-the-behind"
once in a while to keep us on our toes.

Look, I have also frequented the Warrior
Forum for 3 years longer than here, and
have made maybe only 6 posts.

Listen, when I joined JVNotifyPro, this
forum wasn't here and I didn't have my own
products. I was happy to be invited to
others' JVs and promote them to my list.

I'd also like to point out that I've
signed up for a few JVs here (sometimes
even gotten the comp. copy of the product)
and ended up not promoting the event. Why
hasn't Mike ripped into me and banned me
    from the community?

    I'll tell you why.

My posts came some 2 years or so after I
    joined.

I had promoted, made sales & referred new
members for quite a few JVNotifyPro
    Partners, in that time.

He's not kidding when he says that he'll
know if you are abusing the privilege of
    being here.

Thanks for reading this far - I'm getting
to the main points of this post here:

The rules are in place as guidelines for
    mature, professional marketers who can
    govern themselves without supervision.

Though Mike has made it easier to become a
member than in the begining, professional
    conduct is still very important.

Nobody is going to take you seriously if
you join and develop an image of being a
"taker" and never give back to the
    community.

In my case, I don't have enough time to be
a real big contributor to the forum. I do
    however, promote other partners' launches
that I think my subscribers & customers
    would be interested in.

Don't be so afraid of being "banned" that
you second guess joining a partners launch
if you only "think it might" suit your
customers. You won't know if you don't
sign up and check it out.

No "real" professional marketer is going
expect that "everyone" who signs up and
gets a comp. will end up promoting.

Here are a few "acceptable" reasons that
one might sign up for a launch, get the
comp., and then not promote the event.

... after reviewing the offer and contents
of the package closely, you find...

    - It doesn't suit your market after all.
    - price
    - content
    - quality
    - terms

    - It too closely resembles a competing
product that you are already committed to.

    - Your server has a meltdown just before
    launch.

    - A personal emergency comes up.

Now, I don't mean that you can use these
as B.S. excuses to rip partners off. I'm
saying that professionals know that these
things happen from time to time.

If you have a list and/or customer base,
help promote other members' offers as
    your contribution to the community.

If you are a newbie and your only means of
reciprocating for what you take is to
start threads by asking questions of more
experienced members, so be it. Just make
some sort of contribution. The content
that follows your question could prove to
be valuable to other members too.

See? it's easy to contribute even if you
have no advice to give or no list to
    promote other partners' offers.

Let's all make a commitment to help make
JVNotifyPro the closest thing to Mike's
"Vision" as it can be. :-)

OK, my email has "ker-plinked" about 25
times while writing this so, I gotta go
    now.

    Cheers Mates!

    Mark.

P.S. I wonder how much of a headache Mike
Jr. has right now? I understand he's
trying to de-bug whatever has been causing
the recent login issues we've had. A brave
    sole he is. lol.

    Hey Mark

Great post, very informative. I have unfortunately had a problem logging in lately, but now that I am back, I plan to kick up my participation a notch and not just for self promotion. I have found some great JV deals here, so I know this is a great resource, thank Mike, and again, thanks for the great post Mark.

    Thanks, Mark ... Richard.

    Hey ... I'm not perfect.

I've been sent off with my tail between my legs ... licking my wounds, more times than I wish to remember ... for shooting my mouth off before taking a moment to think, or simply not knowing any better ... and getting schooled. :P

It's part of the learning process.

Glad you've seen a reasonably kind and well meaning soul beneath the rough exterior, Gentlemen ...

It's not about you, nor me ... it's all about us, here ... there is a process here that works as long as everyone does their part.

Those that run in here with a "me! me! me!" attitude are going to get a swat and sent to the back of the line! LOL

I've said it many times ... I created this list and community to allow those interested in JV Marketing to win ... win by gaining exposure, knowledge ... win by building credibility, trust ... win by establishing, nurturing relationships of mutual gain ... win as a merchant partner ... win as a promoting partner ... just give a little and you'll get a lot in return, in time.

Have a great Memorial Day weekend, my friends!

    Mike

I can barely believe that I found a forum, almost 1200, (partners NOT members) strong that I can freely ask questions, read and learn from and generally strengthen my JV skills for promoting other folk's products and eventually my own products and services

I stated when I first joined that I would do what I could to do my part and I have gotten behind a few of the JV offers that have come up recently. I am at the point that I need a tickler file to remind me which email to send for which promotion. There have been some really great products come out lately for the masses.

    Thanks,

    Keith

Re: Holy Cow! We're almost 1200 partners strong now!

    Great posts here, guys!
I would like to second Mark's some thoughts about newbies and their contribution. A lot of members who join this forum are newbies, don't have right contacts - so that's why they search for such communities when they release their first product. And of course, as Mike mentioned - they all come with 'me! me! me!' attitude which (especially for real valuable members) are a bit insulting. So, I think we need to 'educate' the new member. We might create a separate section especially designed for newbies where they could ask just about anything - all lame, etc questions. I could even participate and contribute to that forum to help new members there to start out, ask questions and get their feets wet with all JV and online marketing stuff.
I personally think that most of members never contribute here because they don't know much about JVs, online marketing and just starting out. So maybe we could let them contribute to the forum first (participating in newbies forum section, helping others out so they could not only take but also give) and then might award the most active ones with letting them post a JV notification or etc.
I think this would create more liveness to the forum.
    What do you think?

Now that I can log into the forum again, I also intend to hang out here
    a bit more.

I used to spend a lot of time at the Warrior forum, Digital Point and even
WickedFire (shock horror!), but they don't really satisfy my need for JVs,
networking and partnering up for bigger and better projects.

    Anyhoo, get back to work!

Well today it made me happy that, after coming over from an email from Mike, Iwas able to login no problemo.

This is an interesting site and i am glad to see it growing so much since last time I was here. It also seems the Jv's offered are bigger and better than ever.

Yeah ... we're pushing 2000 partners in the community database (though there are probably a couple dozen dupe accounts made by partners trying to log in that couldn't .. :P).

I'm trying to keep my end up by making the 'accommodations' as aesthetically pleasing, usable ... and accessible as possible, and as long as you guys and gals help with content, we'll have it made.

    Welcome back, my friends!

    Mike
