Say Hello To The New Guy!

    Hi Everyone!

First off, I'm glad to be here, been looking for a site like this for a long time!
Secondly, I'm not here to abuse the system. Mike, we've never met but I've read about you. I'm here to behave so don't strike me down with a thunder bolt! ;D

    Thirdly, I'll introduce myself :

My name is Pushy Hamper, my real name isn't Pushy Hamper.
I've been doing the Internet Marketing thing for a few years and I've only recently started getting good at it. Well, I say good... I've started to make money. I don't consider myself anywhere near good yet.
My first purchase as a newbie was the first installment of Day Job Killer by Chris X (or Mcneeney, I believe he let the cat out of the bag a while back with regards to his surname).

Did the old Google Adwords thing for a while and didn't enjoy breaking even or making minute profit so I gave it all up for a while. Came back after reading a load more books, forums, blogs, ezinearticles and all that jazz. Had an idea, marketed it on MySpace (as it's free, even though my method was cheap and nasty - I'd call it the internet equivilant of a cold call) and made some money selling as an affiliate with my own squeeze page.

In the past few weeks, doing this I've collected 164 subscribers and made around $650 in clickbank commissions (although around $300 of that is going back to my buyers, you'll have to check my site via my profile to find out why, I'm not plugging here ya know). One of my extra bonuses is a free landing page ebook I've rebranded as my own (legally) and that's just for signing up.

So I haven't really got my own product and I'm making money from a HORRIBLE program (GetGoogleAdsFree - what do you think, it's been a CB topseller for a while so it can't be that bad, can it?) and to be honest I feel like crap because of it. I get over it quite quickly but typing that last sentance took away my smile... I'm over it again.

If any of my subscribers are here I know they'll be looking for my last email and hitting unsubscribe right now and I couldn't really blame them!

Don't get me wrong though, other than selling them junk I have also been giving good quality free advice and some handy fun links to some of my heroes: Frank, Jason, Shawn & Tellman to name but 3 (or is that 4?).

    Aaaaaanyway,

That's my story so far, I've got a few ideas up my sleeve including a joint venture giveaway I've started planning and preparing for December and a few other things that I consider to be a bit more moral. If anyone's interested in a JV, obviously my list is still small so I'm willing to work with newbies so long as their clued up. If any big guns wanna have a chat or find out my real name I'm happy to do that too.

Once last thing before I go... I'm considering doing a CPM mail drop. Anyone got some advice with regards to price and what company to go with?

    Cheers.

    Pushy x

Welcome to JVNP, Pushy ... it's really not that hard to stay on my good side. Just give a little before expecting to get.

Looking forward to reading your contributions.

    Best,

    Mike

    Hey Pushy ...

JV Notify, awesome forum to be a part of for sure. With
    that welcome :o

Sometimes promoting a bad offer happens, however I
would not continue to promote anything that I did not feel
    good about.

Their are so many excellent products to promote you may want to
think twice about mailing something you do not feel good about.

That being said I understand it is hard to walk away from
something that is making you money.

Anyway Push ... Funny name, Funny pic ... and it's all good.

    LOL ... welcome

    Thanks guys,

Been away for the weekend, visiting old uni friends. Good times.

I totally agree with you Brian and shall be making an effort to find a good strong product I can market.
Any suggestions are welcome although if it's making you money, I'd understand if you wanna keep that little gem to yourself

Gonna have a rumage through the rest of the forum now, see what you're all up to!

    LOL, Brian.

My reply was to Pushy's 'strike down with a Thunderbolt' mention ... I'm real easy to get along with, and always looking to help fellow partners succeed.

... it's just the occasional partner that mistakes this community for a Free Ad Forum that will ultimately suffer my wrath.

    Much success,

    Mike
