Newb question on DOmains and Product

Should I start a domain for every product I market? Or jsut for say product launch. Is it worth it if I was just marketing say music and movie downloads to pay for a site and set it up or just keep to things like Squid and Blogger Hubpage and book mark it on a Social Poster and work that way? Any advise will help greatly.. Thank you!

Obviously a new domain is required for all products

it depends on how much you are actively involved in the product.
If you see a great opportunity they get a domain
else if u don't expect a good ROI then do it on wordpress/blogger/hub/ etc...

That's what I was thinking. Right now I am just getting in the kiddie pool so there is a product that I am doing more for a learning experience so I don't know how much I want to invest in it other then just time. Its nothing big at all. I know something like a launch I will put more into or a product that I really believe in. Right now its just a movie, music down load type thing with a blog on squid and my clickbank link to vendor site.pinged it book marked with social poster..that type of thing ...is this correct thinking?

    Well yeah!

Depends upon when you want to join the league!

New products are launched every Tuesday...

So it's a matter of time before you realize that now its time to get serious and make some money. And that is when you start making money.

And remember, you've gotta stand out of the crowd! For that you need to offer your own extra exclusive bonus etc. And you certainly need a domain name for that and hosting for putting up all the videos and demo's and the sneak peak's you do!

I would say that if you're not serious about this launch, why bother wasting time/money trying?

I'd recommend you trying out the best methods you know. This way, when you make a mistake, you will really learn something and become better at this. Doing your best will also help build report with your customers, which could in time translate into some serious $$$.

About the domain: IMHO it's better to have your own domain. It makes you look more professional and unique. Hosting your own website gives you more control over what you can do with the site.

Good luck! Let us know how it went!

    Cheers,
    Quincy

    Hello Lionel,

Since i got into the game promoting product launches i use a hosting service that permits me to host unlimited websites.

I just buy a new cheap domain and add it to my hosting as these websites for launches are very small sites and dont take up space.

If you believe the products you'll be marketing will make you money, i advice you have a site on your own host since it belongs to you and if you do good seo, you'll have long term profitability.

I basically use web 2.0 sites like squidoo to get seo rankings for my sites and also to scrape as much traffic from the search engines as i can get.

Remember they don't belong to you and may be deleted anytime leaving you with nothing.

I may not know much since, I'm just looking to launch my first product next month, but you need a domain name and hosting. This is the cheapest business you can get into. $7-10 for the domain name for a year. $2-10/mth for the hosting. If you can't afford that, than you probably have real money issues that need to be addressed.

It's so easy and cheap to put up a website and it brings such a sense of professionalism with it, that it's stupid not too.

    Hi

If you are looking to get JV's and affiliates then you need to have a new domain for every product. But if you are just creating a site to sell something to your own list then that may not be a big deal.

The only time I use 1 domain with multiple sites is with my YACG and RSSGM site and then it's no big deal unless one of them get's banned for something.
