    How I Got 90+ JV's For A Launch in 1 Week!

    Hey Guys,

Just wanted to share something with you today. I, including 2 other people, opted in to be "test" JV recruiting managers for a product launch. So we had to get affiliates to promote the product. I had a very common, yet powerful techniqe in mind. Here's what I did,

I went to some of the Internet Marketing forums, like WarriorForum(amazing!), Digital Point Forum, Here offcoure! , and some other forums. As I already had an account in some of the forums, I went to the Joint Venture column, and posted a thread saying "New Product Launch....$10,000 Bonuses - Your Lists Will LOVE It!" and in the thread I wrote that there was a new launch happening and all, and I finished editting and posted the thread.

I didn't get many views but I surely got many JV's who had HUGE lists. This proves that even if the traffic is less, it is converting!

So all you guys over there, who are launching a product or already have one and want JV's to promote it, this is a very easy formula to use.

    Thanks

Just curious... what kind of communication did you have with them?

How many of them actually "participated" in the launch. Real data please, no BS. We learn from both success and failure.

    Hey Paul,

I am sorry but I cannot share that. Since I did it with a partner, I donot have the right to share any information about the product and its deratives(srry!).

But, I actually had no communication whatsoever. I had just 3 replies asking for a review copy, that;s all.

I had like 40 something participate in the launch. That's ok for me!

Would love to answer your questions further!

    F2,

    I'm sorry but I don't get you.

First you state that you got 90+ affiliates (your topic title), and then this in the OP:

I didn't get many views but I surely got many JV's who had HUGE lists. This proves that even if the traffic is less, it is converting!
Then in your reply, you say the following:

I had just 3 replies asking for a review copy, that;s all.

I had like 40 something participate in the launch. That's ok for me!
    So...

    Tell me...

Did you get 90 affiliates? From posting in forums?

Or did you get 40? And ZERO from forums?

    Re: How I Got 90+ JV's For A Launch in 1 Week!

Once again this is probably going to be hard to answer but I'm going to ask anyway. The above commentary about review copies has sparked a question to me. I can understand potential affiliates, especially well known ones, wanting review copies. However, I have received 3 requests from people over the last several days form people asking for review copies. I'm looking these people up and I have not found them anywhere.

When an affiliate asks for a review copy is it customary to simply ask for a copy or is there some courtesy that should be followed by saying something like, "I participated in this launch, last year and this one this year and I'd like to look at your material to see if I might be able to market it to my list." Something along those lines. Or do they just come out and ask, "Would you send me a copy of your material so I can look at it?"

    Re: How I Got 90+ JV's For A Launch in 1 Week!

    Hey Gene,

As there are good marketers, there are bad marketers too. Many people ask for a review copy, and never review. Thats not the bad part(atleast). The bad part what I have seen is, they SHARE the product on blackhat forums. This is bad.

So before you give away any review copy, be sure you ask the guy these questions:-

    1. How is he promoting your product? + Proof(list, review website, ads or what)
    2. Does he have a list? How big and Proof (usually a snapshot of his email account)

Also, before you give out a review copy, it is correct to search for the name on Google. Most of the time you may not find it, but sometimes you do.

And, in a launch that I had observed(name not to be mentioned), the author was not giving a FREE review copy, but for the actual product of $39, he was giving away review copies for $19. Another safe way.

    Hope it helps

    Hey Dave

Getting affiliates/JV's on board for your launch, and getting them to mail for you is 2 different things.

I got 90 JV's signed up to my list to promote. And from them I had like 40 something who actually promoted.

    Hope I cleared you

    Re: How I Got 90+ JV's For A Launch in 1 Week!

    Hello Everyone,

When I send out emails to potential Affiliates and/or JV Partners I include in the email that I have a review copy available if they would like to see it. What is frustrating is when we spend the money to ship out a physical version of my product and then when I follow up with the potential Affiliate/JV Partner they say they have not reviewed it yet. Moreover, when I check back a week later, they still have not reviewed and I feel like I am bothering them.

    Thanks for your reply Robin,

This is the problem with review copies actually.

    Physical products, specially.

Hmm. "Review copies"... an interesting thing.

I would NEVER promote a product without first having looked at it. I would also *never* expect any of my affiliates to do anything less - which is why I have a 'free sample view' available for all my products for affiliates.

Too many people these days don't want a "review" - they want a free product.

And F2 (do you have a name?), you're spot on about the number of affiliates who 'register to promote' and then who *do* actually promote.

That's why I asked about communication - that's the key to success. Being that we don't know the product, nor the website that you were talking about int he original post, or your name or your 'partners names' - there really isn't any reason why you can't share some statistics. We don't know who they apply to.
