Yugma - namely Yugma for Skype.

I was talking to a friend and now business parter (we're just launching a new company) and asked about an easy screen sharing / small conferencing software. He had one but I didn't like it. I told him there must be one as a plug-in for Skype. Of course, there are several. Yugma came highly recommended.

I just installed it. We ran a test with it. And so far it rocks.

This is for project collaboration, webinars, screen sharing and such.

There is an upgrade Pro feature. You get all pro features for first 15 days... then you have to pay. I just got started with it so I haven't paid.

BTW... if you're on skype, I'm 'robtoth'. Please use proper etiquette. I don't reply to just "hello" and "how are you" or "I have a question"... instead please message the topic/reason for why we're talking and I'll come to it as soon as I'm available.

DropBox - GREAT GREAT and dead-simple tool.

You setup a DropBox account, install a simple bit of software and create your "drop box".

You give other DropBox account holders access to any of your special DropBox project folders. I was invited to DropBox by one partner. We now have a common DropBox folder and associated sub-folders. I later invited a partner from a different project and I have a DropBox with our different project.

In either case, you drag and drop right into the folder... it uploads it right away and your shared user gets a little notification in his taskbox saying a new file was added to their dropbox.

This is tied into a service as only 2 GB (??) is free. So far, we haven't needed to upgrade. Probably will.

Jing Pro
Possibly my favorite tool of all time. Maybe next to Skype.

The Pro upgrade or $19 is a definite no brainer.

Jing installs a sleek looking little software that hangs out at the top of your screen. It allows you to EASILY record screen capture vids.

Each vid is restricted to 5 minutes. This is a GOOD THING. Trust me. Before Jing, I was making blah blah 25 min videos... now I see the countdown and I cover the important parts in 5 mins instead.

You can setup your Screencast account and even YouTube (I think other major vid sharing sites too) and can easily "share".

So ... if I developed content (ie: for subscribers etc), I share via YouTube. It uploads it. I later edit the title/description but it's there for me. Within MINUTES I can go from an idea for a content/training piece to actually having it published on YouTube. It kicks butt.

(my youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/RobTothDotCom )

On the other hand, if it's an explanation or a private training for a VA or a partner, I share via Screencast which gives me private links. And it's the simplest/fastest way for me to train my virtual assistants and now employees (with the new company) etc.

I LOVE this tool.
