First thing I would do is make the optin box benefit driven.
What is the free course going to teach?
How is it going to help someone? etc...
Make sure to give people a solid benefit and tell them exactly what they can expect, this will help your optin rates.

Hi Stephane,
To increase your opt in rate I find that a drop-in box works best. Aweber offer this solution built into their service. Here is an example of what I use: www.Resellers-Heaven.com.
If you would like me to send you the code let me know.
All the best,
Sean
The first thing I would do is change the opt-in to the left side of the page, not the right. When I went to your link, I saw the sales letter. I hardly even recognized the opt-in box. Since the eye goes from right to left, make certain that the visitor sees the op-in box, or it will be highly ineffective. You should see a lot more sign-ups if you move it to the left side of the page.

Hi Stephane,
I think you may be working on the site now, and the link didn't work.
From what i have seen most people did for a optin box on a sales letter in right at the top and at the center, with a clear call-to-action and offer a bribe to get in.
That will boost you subscription.

Hi Stephanie,
I agree with everyone here.
1. Drop that optin box somewhere at the top, the middle and the bottom (because you have long copy).
2. Give them an impossible to turn down, once in a lifetime offer for opting in (communicate the benefits well too).
3. Embed in into the sales piece in the three locations.
Now, www.Aweber.com is the best because it lets you easily personalize by name BUT I also use www.IContact.com because they are sooooo easy to use, whereas Aweber isn't setup for easy implementation. Plus, IContact has a free 15 day trial for you to check out before you buy so there is no risk at all.
You should check it out.
Hope this helps.

I'd say look at AWeber as well. Their "hover-over" forms technically aren't pop-ups and will get through most pop-up blockers.
And--for what it's worth--with AWeber forms you can designate how long the form waits before it pops up or drops down onto your site. I've experimented a bit and found if I delay the form for about 15 seconds, it gives the visitor just a bit of time to see your headline and main pitch.
Some people see a pop-up that blocks the main part of the page and click to leave before they get a good idea of what you are offering. You can experiment a bit, but the delay time will make a difference in the number of quick click outs you get. Good luck!
