What is the best way to obtain testimonials? What works for you?

Want to know the best way to obtain testimonials...
I have a free eCourse, found at http://understanding-ppc.110mb.com
A lot of my readers after having read my free eBooks say that they will send me some testimonials but in the end I do not receive any from them... :'(
If you know how to obtain testimonials, please help me...

Hi Stephane,

The way I get testimonials is by asking previous clients. However, what I've found is that the reason why many people do not write testimonials is not because they don't want to give you one, they just can't be bothered spending a couple of minutes making one up.

What I do, is that I write a batch of testimonials myself and ask clients to choose one from the list. It's more time saving for them and they will more willing to "give" you a testimonial.

Getting testimonials

-You can ask other webmasters you know to write testimonials or trade testimonials.
-You can send out a promotion to another site you have in a simlar market telling people you will give them the product for free in exchange for a testimonal.
- You can post on here or on warriorforum saying you need testimonals and you will give them the product for free in exchange for one.

Really great idea...thanks I can give a bunch of PLR products for free...
The products come with their sales letter... They are good products...

Attract butterfly in your garden...
Spend less on marriage...
How to buy a car with limited or no credit...
How to set your goals as winners do....
The money secret your teacher never told you...
...etc

I will give these PLRs products to those willing to send me testimonials...
They can give them as bonuses to their clients....

Getting testimonials from people you dont know very well can be quite hard. Better to build the relationship first and ask afterwards.

People are often too busy to read your product, let alone sit down and write a testimonial.

One way you could encourage your affiliates is to offer a prize to best one. Could even be something like you'll agree to display their product on your download page. Anything to get them to take action.

Not a problem Stephane. Martin also had a good idea with about writing a few testimonials for people to select from. I try not to do that if possible, but it will assist a few people who are quite busy, but still want to offer you their comments.

That's worked for me 100%.
After the initial reply I usually follow it up with one or two personal emails
and it's ALWAYS good to thank your customers for their testamonials.

Don't just vanish once you get it.

Just Ask!

When you're providing GREAT value and OVER delivering then your members or clients should have no problem giving you a testimonial.

Give your course away for FREE to a certain number of people and use their testimonials.

I never use the word testimonial, I just ask customers for "feedback".

We get some great testimonials using this method.

I do suggest you have a blog and give a way a lot of content (we certainly do), we even give away free software and that works a treat.
