Product Launch in Holiday Season ?

Hi friends,
I am currently working on a product and haven't decided when I should launch it.
Is it advisable to launch a IM related product during Christmas season
or should one wait till the holiday rush is over ?

Second week of December or Second week of January ?

From my experience, people don't really read emails during festive seasons. Based on this, I don't think launching a product during Christmas is a good ideal.

Most people will use the festive season as a catch, like recommending a gift for Christmas, so will have to be launched at least a month before the Christmas.

Just my 2 cents worth of opinion.

If you read the either of the topics, you would have noticed they are related to your question (I wouldn't have posted a reply otherwise)

But to save you the time, here's a quote from one of my posts in one of those topics:

I just did a little research on a term we're all familiar with: marketing.
I stuck the term into Google's Keyword Tool and checked the average search volume over the year.
The results are as follows (with busy months in RED and slower months in BLUE).

OCT
NOV
DEC - big drop
JAN
FEB
MAR
[b]APR - large spike (also busiest month)
MAY - big drop again
JUN
JUL - picks up a little during this month
AUG
SEP

If you have a SOLID offer and a strong following you should have no problem making money.

If you're launching Christmas day, you might want to rethink that day!

People are going to be preoccupied with their family not their computer.

Move it back a week or 2!
