Looking for ways to market new product.

    Hello everybody,

I am new to this forum and it looks like the place to be.

My questions pertain to a new set of products that I have created for a client in the Sales and Management Training Niche. These products consist of a downloadable ebook, a printed book, and various categorized CD sets. So far I have the ebook set up in Clickbank, with minimal success, and currently I am using Adwords to promote the CD collection, which so far has turned out to be an expensive proposition, again with minimal results.

I have searched for ways to find other marketers who would partner with me or even after a point become involved in the production and fulfillment. The ebooks sells for $9.95. the printed copy for $14.95, and the CD sets range in price from $29.95 to $299.95. My client is prepared to offer generous commissions to any JV partner, but as I am fairly new to the marketing side of things...my role is webmaster, audio editing, and product development...we basically have a pretty nice vehicle with nowhere to go.

Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. My client's website is http://www.strangeratthedoor.com and the CD products are all listed at http://www.strangeratthedoor.com/sal...aining_cds.htm.

I think we have some really good products with great potential, but I am still stuck on the marketing stuff.

    Thank you for any suggestions!

Again, this is the "wrong order" on how to create a business...

You need to know that people want to buy what you offer first...

Not "think that they want it or think that they need it", they should already want it...

When they know they want it and think about it everyday, then you can fulfill that request.

I didn't read much of the site, but I think you are a victim of "I have something to sell, now who will buy it?"

If not, sorry and I just wasted both our time

It's always best to ask 100 people what they want, then just give it to them...

It doesn't take a lot of convincing when done right...

    Bob,

What I suggest is to give away 1 product and build a list.
With a list you can then create long term profits and it
is easily to JV with others.

Aim for your 1st 1000 leads.

    Hi Bob,

This is the website that you can use to sell your product using their mailing list. They have over 226000 subscriber.

    Hi Robert,

Sounds like you have a great product. Here's what I recommend:

1: You should raise the price of your ebook and physical book. If they do in fact contain great information, you shouldn't have a problem with that. The reason for this is that most affiliates (myself included) wont touch a product that pays below $30 commission.

2: Create a regular package with a set selling price...then, just prior to your clickbank order page insert and upsell opportunity. Most of the time you can easily sell 30% of interested people on a higher selling price.

3: Be sure to hit all of your buyers with upsells...especially high priced upsells. If they like the product you originally sold them, they will surely consider higher and higher priced products.

4: In terms of finding JVs...it just takes time. Try to make deals with authority sites in your industry for advertising. For instance, here is the number one result for Google organic search on the term "Sales and Management Training":
    http://www.brooksgroup.com/

Have you contacted them to see if they want a cross sale with you? Can you buy their past buyer list? Their newsletter list? Their geographic physical mailing list?

The possibilities are endless Hope this helps!
