Boobs, Trends and Facebook Money - feedback appreciated
I wrapped up a new report. One that I had a lot of fun compiling and have been meaning to piece together for months now but never sat down for it.
"Boobs, Trends and Facebook Money:
Tapping the Disturbingly High ROI Potential of the Internet’s Largest and Most Visited Website"
It's free (and will stay that way). But for these first few days, it's also direct access. No squeeze page yet since I'm doing first round of promos internally.
This post is indeed a soft-sell for my freebie reading... but I also am genuinely curious on your thoughts. Namely: "was it a useful read".
Webpage: http://www.fbmoneyreport.com
(It JUST went live and you guys are actually the first ones I'm telling. I haven't even sent the email to my subscribers or posted it on my own Facebook yet.)
Re: Boobs, Trends and Facebook Money - feedback appreciated
I've always been pretty resistant to the idea of using social networking sites as business tools. I don't doubt their efficacy...it's just not my cup of tea.
I agree with you on Twitter, btw...like the Dragons often say in the Den: "I just don't see the business, and for that reason, I'm out." The very nature of the site limits their capacity for adaptation.
Why tweet when you can just update your FB status? It's virtually the same thing, except you're not limited to 140 characters on FB and it's way more interactive.
You know what impresses me the most about FB though? Amongst (relatively) young people such as myself, FB has made traditional email communication virtually obsolete. NOBODY emails each other anymore...it's all FB messages and events.
But yeah, given all the benefits of FB as a business tool, I still don't see myself using it, at least in the near future, for my business. Heck, I don't even use it that much for personal stuff.
All that said, however, I loved the report. I've never really thought of creating a second profile for business use, but I may consider it now. FB ads are still out of the question for me though...baby steps ;)
Anyway, thanks for the report, Rob. Moar please!
(BTW - Did anyone see that Dragon's Den pitch for MoarBooks.ca? Hilarious!)

How far back is that? I might have missed it.
The Bucket List guys who were on there a month ago (??)... I know that entire little entourage. It was interesting seeing them on there.
NOTE regarding the report for "product launch" and JV Notify peeps...
check page 50 of the report.

Really amazing report.
I will try "create a Group and build that" for product launch in the report.
I'm glad to see you quote the $1 facebook ad tactic I posted here days ago.
Looking forward to your coming reports.

@Curtis ... I just catch a few episodes here and there. Don't even know what season we're in, lol. Maybe I'll YouTube it to see if I can find the snippet.
@Ian... Definitely thanks for posting it in the first place. They didn't talk of actual ROI which, for their model, would be tougher to track either way. But it was a great example of how to use trending topics, relevant imagery to pull in massive volumes of uniques visitors for low cost per click.

Was already well aware of the marketing takeover of Facebook (I had a Writer's Craft teacher that functioned as a Marketing teacher, bless her heart). Any smart person with enough money to take advantage of Facebook should do it as soon as possible.
Can anyone say goldmine?
Re: Boobs, Trends and Facebook Money - feedback appreciated
Well as Scott Rewick has shown us Rob, FB is a pretty profitable place to be, even if you're not using it for your own business. I am certainly not complaining over here about the profits I've been making on there lately, even though they aren't HUGE yet, none the less I am pretty satisfied with my ROI's. With that said, Media Mentor's is definitely a program/product worth investing in along side FB.
Oh and P.S. Rob you are using my friend's boobie's on your page lol
Re: Boobs, Trends and Facebook Money - feedback appreciated
And just a little tid bit, if you're really iffy about investing money into FB for advertising, some hosting companies offer up some FB credits - $50 or $100 and play around with that for a bit before you dip into your own pocket. I logged into my hosting account last week after doing a webinar with Scott, to add another domain and saw the big banner staring right at me, $100 FREE Facebook credits, a light bulb went off in my head and thought, "hey I may as well use it up" .. I wasn't iffy by any means, because Scott is really thorough in media mentors, even the webinar Rob hosted with him the other night was really thorough and detailed, but if you're still skeptical look into your hosting company and see if they offer that.

so does that mean I own your friend royalties for her cleavage?
That would be a fun invoice to show to my accountant.
