Re: First thing to do -- take 2 minutes and introduce yourself ...
Wow! I just read a page of posts and I already feel that this forum is filled with talented people.
I found this forum because of the posts in WF and I heard that "Mike Merz" is a really strong JV partner and since I will launch a product in a couple of months, I was curious and found this.
Cool. All I can say is this is wonderful. I also saw my friend Dylan Loh getting promoted in this forum so this must be the 'strong crowd' :) Anyway, I thank Mike Merz for making this forum and greeting everyone who joins in the forum.
Hopefully we can help each other promote products and help each other in our promotion and marketing tactics!
Getting a bit off topic... Intro....

Re: First thing to do -- take 2 minutes and introduce yourself ...
... I guess after all this time I should introduce myself too, even though Mike and several others already know me ;)
I'm Amber Jalink - I've been marketing online since May of 1997 (yep - just past the 10 year mark!) Not sure if that is good or bad... lol
I've run a few search engines, article sites (that are still online), and membership sites over the years, most are still functioning at various levels.
Tip for anyone new to the net or internet marketing world: you don't have to spend a fortune, but read everything you possibly can get your hands on to learn. You'll have differing viewpoints of course, but reading gives you a full scope of it all.
I took the first 6 months and while slowly building my lists, I read everything I possibly could about marketing on the internet. I had sales my first month online - with a profit ($20 internet expense, earned $100 in sales, = $80 profit).
Don't panic to think that you have to make thousands and more to be 'profitable' - at least not at first. If you made more than you spent, you're in the black, and keep growing from there.
I'm glad you put this site up Mike - great place for people to connect with JVs.
The truth is (from experience), JVs are one of the most important keys to your business - but they aren't all, so please don't "just" rely on JVs. Do other marketing on your own as well, yet when done right, JVs can seriously explode your business.
Using JVs, I've had several $40,000 weekends, $24,000 in one day while at the Internet Marketing Superconference a few years ago (that was hysterical - total fluke, didn't expect it to be happening that weekend but a JV partner decided to mail while I was in attendance).
You can't always expect a huge return - but its absolutely very possible too!

Re: First thing to do -- take 2 minutes and introduce yourself ...
Hello all, I am Jerome Sherman from The Bahamas, Im here to learn everything I can about joint venturing. I am not new to internet marketing having wasted a fortune chasing one opportunity after another over so many years. I stop chasing opportunities, now, I am working on my business plan and strategy while networking, making good contacts and staying focus.
I hope to make many contributions to this community as well as eventually make arangements that are mutually beneficial to hopefully many of you as possible.

Re: First thing to do -- take 2 minutes and introduce yourself ...
Hi everyone
My name is Jonathan Paston and I have a strong background in journalism, which means I can write (and love to do it too).
I 'discovered' Internet Marketing by accident while I was investigating how to drive more traffic to my niche commercial sites (which sell tube amplifier and DIY loudspeaker kits, www.world-designs.co.uk if you are interested), and kinda got caught up in it.
Now as a long term hi-fi reviewer (under a different pen name) I like to write about products, so my current blog does just that. If you need me to review any of your products/courses/ebooks, whether to get extra publicity or an opinion or even a beta test, just send me a message.
But you might have already guessed that I am writing books too and will be looking for JV partners in a couple of weeks, so I hope to make some good friends on this forum.
Is that my two minutes up? Wow, that was quick! :D

Re: First thing to do -- take 2 minutes and introduce yourself ...
Welcome, everyone.
Ask questions ... if you think you can answer them, or at least offer an educated opinion ... do that, as well ... the first step towards productive Joint Ventures is gaining trust, credibility, and respect ... this is as good a place as any to do just that.
I look forward to watching every single JVNP partner succeed ... but every journey starts with the first step ... help me help you by getting interactive.
All the best,
Mike

Re: First thing to do -- take 2 minutes and introduce yourself ...
Hello All,
Sharlene Raven here (and Scott, for those who know him :) )
I don't usually post much on forums but I do read a lot so that I may learn as much as I can. I have picked up a LOT of great information here in this community.
I just realized that I have never formally introduced myself here. Many of you already know who I am or at least know Scott. He was very active in IM before he became to sick to run our business and threw it in my lap. ;D
I just want to say thanks to Mike for building such a great community. I have been fortunate to promote quite a few JV's that I got through JV Notify and some of them have been fairly profitable. I would have missed the boat otherwise.

Re: First thing to do -- take 2 minutes and introduce yourself ...
Hello JVNP Community,
I think I was amongst the initial group invited when Mike launched this site but just realized I never made this post. In fact, it appears I haven't made any posts. Not sure if that's accurate but I've never feared starting over so here goes...
I'm Rob Fighter (you may not know me but have probably heard of my kids...Prize, Fire and Freedom). Ok, that's my slightly overused opening line for every live presentation I've ever done ;-)
Anyway, I hope to become a much more active member of this community. I'm someone who's been marketing online since '94 (and even long before then through BBSs/CompuServe, etc -but now I'm dating myself). I've spent the great majority of that time behind the scenes and in the shadows. One exception many of you may remember was when I took over The Free Agent Path from Mark Joyner back in'03. Unfortunately, that was a cool site and concept in many ways but it just didn't work out in the end (for me at least) and I chose to shut it down in '05.
I've been fortunate to have some great success and be be involved with a bunch of high profile stuff over the years but mostly initiatives involving the corporate world as opposed to the traditional online marketer world. Recently, I've come through some personal challenges that enabled me to see things differently and refocus on what I really want to do. As a result, I've shut down a lot of sites, sold others and kind of started all over again.
I have a number of lists in various niches and am in the process of rebuilding and integrating the lists I have in the marketing niche. Once this is complete I hope to be able to help many members here with their launches and promotions. I also have a few new products and launches of my own forthcoming and look forward to prospering with the members here who jump on board.
I've acquired a great deal of knowledge and experience over the last 20 years in sales and marketing both online and offline and I sincerely enjoying helping people. If there's something that has you stumped or you need someone to bounce ideas off of I'm always willing to help how/where/when I can. I'm approachable too so don't be shy ;-)
I look forward to meeting those of you I haven't and strengthening relationships with those I have.
More to follow...
Rob

Hi Everybody,
I'm Tim Edwards. Why am I using TK Edwards? Well, if you google Tim Edwards you get a bunch of other people, but if you google TK Edwards you get me. Might be something you want to look at, branding yourself or your company name. By the way the full name is Timothy Keith Edwards.
I've been Internet Marketing for a while still part time, I'm a network admin in my real job.
I hope to make the Internet my real job soon, but like most newbies I'm making all the common mistakes and learning as I go.
Best of Luck to Everybody!
Hope I can make a contribution to the Forum, It looks like it is going to be a real Success!
Another tip, pick a domain name that is relevant and has your keyword(s) in it.
I still use this as my primary site but building traffic has been a slow process.

Hello everyone,
My name is Allen F Sunderlin and I am a completely new to this. I am here to learn how to sell on the Internet. I am 53 yrs old and unemployed at this time. I lost a job of 23 years with the Boeing company last year due to some personal issues so I have lots of time on my hands and am willing to work long hours to learn the ins and outs of Internet Marketing. So far I have a web site that is quite crude but is good for practice. I have a few affiliates some of which I need to drop because I am just wasting my time with them. Of course I am looking for the next big thing. Even though I wouldn't know what to do with it if I found it. That is why I am here, to learn from you guys and to give back to others in the future what I hope to learn.
Thanks for havin' me

Hi Guys,
This is my first post here in the forum.
I have been marketing online for a couple years and had various successes but never really got too serious with it. Ive always been too busy with my day-job!
Anyway, ive been posting on a couple other forums for the last 3 months and got some really great info. I have re-written my info-product and currently doing test marketing in preparation for a new launch this year. I'm sure i'll find some great info here in this forum especially regarding JV's which I know are going to take my results to the next level!

Re: First thing to do -- take 2 minutes and introduce yourself ...
Hi! I'm Michael McCleve. I've been online for a couple years now and have yet to taste sweet success. I've just finished up an info product that combines the Law of Attraction and Leadership. I'm waiting for Clickbank to give me the final nod of approval and then I'm ready to launch. It's been on a shoestring budget so I've done everything myself.
My interests are not in the field of internet marketing but in leadership and management. I'm a professional trainer and speaker by trade - though I'm not currently employed. That puts a bit of pressure on the need for success online, too.
Anyway, looking forward to looking around and getting to know folks.

Re: First thing to do -- take 2 minutes and introduce yourself ...
Hi, my name is Terri Shearer. I've been in the e-learning world since 1996 and am looking to take that expertise to a new market. I've been dabbling with online marketing but am just now getting serious enough to spend a lot of time with it. I think I purchased every Internet Marketing couse, book, video out there and then never had enough time to implement what I learned. I decided to jump off the deep end when I quit my consulting gig and worked all summer to make my first info product. I hope to have the website homehealthcarebooks.com up and running soon. The info product all 3+ hours of it is completed complete with video and audio.
I also got interested in eBay and product marketing several years ago. I've been moderately successful with my online wedding dress store www.shearbridal.com but am looking to sell that business so I can concentrate full time to my other ventures.
I think there are many areas in which I can help those on this forum and hope there are people that can help me as well. I'm especially looking for JV help with my new home health care book and would love to hear from anyone that is interested in that niche.

Hey all,
My names Dane Bergen and I've been referred here by a member of the Warrior Forum who said this forum is great.
My hobbies are bodybuilding and weight lifting. A goal in this area is to beat the Australian Bench Press record this year.
Of course I also love my online business, it's the best choice I've made in my life - I quit university and my full time job to pursue my online business and have already have some big successes :)
I'm launching a product on the 29th of August called PPC Prophecy which I've been working pretty hard on for the last few months and am very anxious to get it going.
I'm sure I will get some great tips and help from this forum and of course will do my best to help others!
See you all round!
