Affiliate Manager of JV Broker?!?

Hopefully someone can help me answer this question...

What is the difference between an Affiliate Manager and a JV Broker?

Are they basically one in the same?

My understanding of the difference is...

JV brokers bring in big JV partners for a launch/promo.

Affiliate managers keep motivating affiliates so they
keep promoting month after month.

Yeah ... that's pretty much it.

The JV Broker uses his relationship with list owners that will fit into the client's promotional strategy to bring them on board ... and unless he chooses to be the launch time affiliate manager, as well (like I did for Butterfly Marketing), the affiliate manager takes over.
