Sending Personalized Videos to Your JV's
Hey everyone,
You've probably noticed how popular video is becoming online.
I've also noticed that it's quickly being adopted within the Joint Venture Community.
Product creators are sending out personalized videos to their affiliates. They're creating live web casts for their subscribers to ask questions about the product.
They're creating video competitions during the pre-launch phase.
Fortunately for us, video is still in it's early stage and you can really stand out by including video in your marketing.
Let's brainstorm some other ways that video can be used in a product launch...
Re: Sending Personalized Videos to Your JV's
Great topic, Kim.
For starters ... I've been working on a video exit script that my son ... and techie extraordinaire, Mike Jr. ... almost had finished to use during Michael Cheney's last big ticket.
Imagine ... when you're getting ready to leave the sales page, Michael Cheney 'bursting' into the center ... pleading with you not to leave ... and offering a bump, downsell, etc! LOL
We almost brought it to life, but the bugs had to be worked out.
... keep your eyes peeled. ;)
Best,
Mike
PS
That is one idea ... there will be others from this end. How about you?
Re: Sending Personalized Videos to Your JV's
Awesome Mike!
I will definitely be on the lookout :)

Hey Mike,
That script sounds awesome. Can't wait till it's revealed...
Do you plan on selling it, or giving it away ?

Actually, there is a lot more interactivity that can be added to your webpages... especially using Josh Anderson's stuff... I'll try that out next year, but let me say this... It can be used to creqate websites that truly interact with the user.

Re: Sending Personalized Videos to Your JV's
I have been playing with video and getting some insane results.
This video is getting a 49.3% optin rate and it's just me talking on my front porch.

I have split test a squeeze page with just video, audio, and text only. Video wins every time no matter what.
I did the video with just a flip video on a cheap tripod. Ran the video through camtasia to get the file size down and BOOM.
If you are not using video to sell then you are missing the boat.
Thanks
Charles

Hey Charles,
Wow! Thanks for the case study.

Re: Sending Personalized Videos to Your JV's
I've long recommended JV merchants to use video in their JV introductions (on the JV squeeze, generally), in their prospect introduction & pre sell content.
It's starting to become a Web 2.0 staple right alongside article, squidoo lense, hub page, and digg submissions to post videos to all the popular video hosting services ... for both merchants and their JV partners.
Two early adapters on the affiliate side of video promotion are fellow partners Michael Rasmussen and Dave Guindon, both greatly increasing the size of their lists ... and subscriber productivity, major success as affiliates, and much higher sales of their own products ... since incorporating video.
I'm sure a major reason for this is that using a medium like the Internet has many advantages, but one major disadvantage is the obvious lack of physical interaction. Notice that as we have gone from simple text to graphics ... and then voice, and finally video ... we are coming closer and closer to that physical interaction that provides the maximum sight and sound connection, and personal touch, we can achieve without actually making actual eye to eye physical contact.
Do you have anything you have either tried or have thought of trying, video wise, that might benefit this discussion?
Please ... feel free, as this is a very important topic ... red hot.
Cheers,
Mike
Re: Sending Personalized Videos to Your JV's
Mike is certainly right about the success Dave is having with Video. When we head to starbucks he regales me with his latest conquest about how his opt-ins have improved using video. It is a simply amazing tool.
The bottom line I believe is that it brings the customer that much closer to the real person. Particularly if your customers feel like they can connect with you as a result.
In my release I am going to take it one step further and give all access, direct connection and monitor the results. I get that defeats some of the time leveraging but I am going to use the following strategy:
Video in pre-launch with a good opt in offer, then video with sales page, then one on one contact with my customers for this product to basically learn the most popular videos to focus on.
I have seen this model work wonders in a CPA coaching group where the video made the sale, the personal contact solidified the continued or recurring membership, then the customers became comfortable enough to rely on the videos because they had determined what the content of the member videos would be.
