Where to start?
Hey,
Basically, I need to find some JV's for a launch in the weight loss niche.
I know I really need to start networking. The problem I'm having is finding the right people to network with. I'm over at the warriors forum for example and most people there are in the IM niche. And they're sort of intimidating knowing that some of these guys are the "big boys" of the industry. I also feel guilty messaging them asking questions.
I know niche related forums are a place to go, but is there really anyone there that sells products (besides maybe the site owner).
I'm just really unsure what to do. This is all new to me, with my first product launch.

Re: Where to start?
At least you can get some customers from niche related forums, right?
Myspace and Facebook are the places where you'll find related- like minded people

Re: Where to start?
How exactly do you find people with a weight loss list on Facebook?
-
Re: Where to start?
Go to groups......
Generally most people are to be found on Myspace groups... and these are the people that share common interests!
And then you can look at someone's profile and tell whether or not they are otential customers or JV partners. It has to be easy ... just if you know how!
PM me if you want more info. explaining how...

Re: Where to start?
Go to Clickbank and you will find lots of product creaters who have 1 goal...to make money. JV with them.
Get some software like Affiliate elite and back track some affiliates.
Thats all it takes to get started.

Re: Where to start?
Morning! Okay, here's EXACTLY how you can break into your market and get
them there JV partners...
(And for those "lurkers" out there... how you can break into ANY market)
FYI: It's good to note in every market you must FIRST ask "What can I do to help YOU?" before they say "WOW! Look at this new guy with a killer product... I think I'll try to pimp it!"
If you haven't established yourself yet and are sucking up to JV's... I have 4 words for you:
Not. Going. To. Happen.
But as luck would have it, not only can you establish yourself you can make money doing it!
Here's how... (Just enter your credit card details... Kidding)
#1: Pick the stinking market. Find on where there are thousand and thousands and thousands of people selling stuff. Like Dr. Charles said, ClickBank is great for this. Look for products with a solid sales letter/optin form as well as a gravity of above 50.
#2: Get a .com domain name which caters to the niche and put up a wordpress blog. (Free)
#3: Shoot the product owners an email about how much you want to help promote them. (the trick here is to stroke their inflated sense of self importance) Kiss butt. Tell them you really want to blast their message out to the world and to do this you want to reveal the "face behind the mask"... do an interview. Use Free Conference Call to record this.
#4: Have them tell their list about the killer interview they just did... (Write the email for them)
Yes. This works. What's really funny is it works BETTER in Non make money online markets because the money "Gurus" are pretty tight with their lists. Not everyone is willing to mail.
Fake It Till You Make It Tip 01: New site? No traffic? The only use for buying site hits is so you can temporarily inflate your Alexa rating. Not that I'm saying you should do this... but if you need to look like you're already established before the kids will get in the pool with you...
$20 - $80 investment in pure crap traffic and you look like a freaking industry hotzone! (DO NOT expect to make sales from this totally insane form of tomfoolery)
Don't tell anyone I told you about that little trick... I'll be strung up by my *ehem!*
There you go.
Interview your way to notoriety in any niche.
You can follow my lead: http://www.NothingDownOnline.com/imfaq
Lots of interviews you can check out.
And yes, this does sell a butt-ton of product (as you're affiliate link will be posted in the area which says "Click Here To Read More...")
Now go... flit... fly... have fun, make money, make friends, and come back when you have grown hair on your chest and money flies from your undergarments!

Re: Where to start?
If Jonny keeps telling all the secrets I'm going to be out of business.
Take what Jonny said and just do it. It works VERY VERY well.
Thanks

Re: Where to start?
Johnny's post is really informative....particularly the part about helping people out first.
When I first started out in the fitness niche, I would write killer testimonials for guys/gals doing their product launches. When it came to time to launch my products..I had an instant sales force. It doesn't take much of your time to do something nice for someone!
I also offered free reports to put in their deluxe packages.
Rebrandable pdf's are a consideration as well...
Take Care

I'm gonna sound like Mike in a minute....
Relationships, Relationships, Relationships!
Build them, and maintain 'em!
I've done audio interviews with some top guys, but it didnt happen overnight. Persistence is key, and doing something for them first usually does the trick too.
