Starting Small Joint Ventures using Articles
By Paul Barrs -
There are many ‘myths’ floating around today in the online business world… well, maybe not so much myths but untruths. Once such falsehood is that in the world of net marketing a joint venture is an agreement between two people, one the product holder, the other the list holder, to do a jointly beneficial promotion of the product for equal monetary gain. Yes, that is classified as a joint venture, but it is also severely limiting in its description.
These limiting ‘myths’ or false-hoods are brought about simply by a lack of adequate training, and with such, we as business owners also become limited in our thinking. It’s not our fault, really. It’s not even the fault of the ‘trainer’; after all, they are only doing what they know.
The thing is however, there is so much more and we must ‘train ourselves’ to look outside of the box. Not just to look outside but also around the corner and under the bed bunks. In order to achieve this we must go beyond the one trainer (even if they are our favorite) and learn from the many.
Here’s one of the keys to business success: If you want to stand out from the many and become one of the few you must set yourself apart and present yourself as unique.
How do we do that? Select about half a dozen online business trainers and learn from them all. Make sure that they all have different teaching styles and ways of presenting things. Take *their* material and remodel it as your own (remember the uniqueness factor). Over time you will develop a highly individualized personal style – and that’s where the difference is made.
[Sidebar: This ‘half-dozen’ is a magic number. Its worthwhile remembering, because really, in most areas of life, there’s only about ‘half a dozen’ things that we need know to be successful in them. Keep that in mind… when referring to ‘the few’ I am referring to ‘the magic half-dozen.]
Then, as an individual, you will automatically begin to think outside of the box. This is what will set you apart from the masses, because the crowds cannot, will not and don’t know how to do anything else but follow.
So… back to joint ventures.
Do you write articles? Probably. If you don’t, you really should. Let me also ask you this –
Do you ever stop by your favorite search engine and plug in your primary keywords to see what happens? If you don’t, you also probably should. Its good research and learning.
When most people go to the search engines and plug their primary keywords they tend to get OK results, but that’s because the latest trend is to ‘use’ loooong keywords… you know, the three or four words strings. Well yeah, any idiot can get found in the search engines for something that no one is looking for (a classic example of following the masses).
What about the ‘short’ phrases though? How about “home business” instead of “home business alliance program”. What about “internet marketing” instead of “internet marketing for offline business”. See the pattern?
However, getting those top ranking spots is becoming more and more difficult as the net becomes more and more populated. So here is a simple and easy way to get access to those tens of thousands of people who search these top key-phrases within a few days.
1. Go plug in your primary keywords (short phrase).
2. Have a look at the top ten websites and contact the owners.
3. Offer them a joint venture –
a. You’ll write for them 5 – 10 exclusive articles on their choice of topic, specifically designed to be informative for their readers.
b. They get final approval of the articles to determine of the quality is OK for their site.
c. Once done, they place them on their website. You agree to not have them reprinted elsewhere.
d. All you ask in return is that they link and promote the articles to their readership and each article of course has a link back to your website.
e. This link, naturally, is an affiliate link through which you offer joint venture revenue split share.
Simple it’s it.
It’s one of literally dozens of ways that you can joint venture and partner up with other people. When you think about it, even a reciprocal link is a ‘joint venture’ in its simplest form isn’t it.
Just remember that you can learn more from a few than you can the many, because the many are most likely following the few.
