I just wrote a similar post to this on my blog, but thought I should add a version here, as all this really helped my to establish my Giveaways swiftly in an established niche.

I hope this useful if you're planning on running your own event.

5 Tips To Make Your First JV Giveaway A Massive Success

So you've decided to run your own JV Giveaway ... there's nothing quite like these events for growing your list at warp speed.

But nobody knows who you are ... how do you leverage the power of established marketers to make your first Giveaway a roaring success and what can you do to make the event run smoother?

Tip 1

Sign up to existing Giveaways (free or paid) and look at the leader boards.

All the information you need to see who is successful is there.

Check out the most successful marketers and get in touch with them directly.

Write them an email, tell that you've noticed how successful they are and then offer them a free upgrade in your event.

Tip 2

The Giveaways scene is dominated by a few people who operate listings pages showing the latest events which are taking place.

Get in touch with the site owners, offer them a free upgrade, make sure that your new event gets listed.

Here are 5 for starters (none of my affiliate links in here and I have removed my listings page from this list so as not to benefit!):

Tip 3

If you can, make sure that you suspend the 'Downgrade for for no promotion' option in your Giveaway scripts (usually those run using the Ultimate JV Giveaway Script).

This downgrade option exists to make sure that everybody is promoting the Giveaway.

However, many JV contributors - especially when they're starting out - do their best to promote, but have very small lists and get no clicks on their affiliate links.

It's a very popular option not to penalise people for this and goes down really well with your paying customers.

Tip 4

There are some people on the Giveaways scene who will set up an event for you at a very reasonable price.

I would actually suggest that you do this first anyway, just to get the feel for what’s involved in an event.

There are two people that I personally know who provide this service, and I’ll mention them here (again, I get no personal benefit from this):

Tip 5

Make your first event a 'loss leader' ... don't get greedy with the money side of it.

Your first event is about a) making sure you create a busy, successful Giveaway
b) building your reputation c) creating relationships with other marketers

Keep the price 'entry level' to encourage newbies and the cautious ... no more than $19 for the Upsell for your first event, it's a popular price point.

There's nothing quite like taking part in or running your own Giveaways to build your list really fast.

These are the tips I used myself to establish myself swiftly on the Giveaways scene, I hope they will serve you equally well.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for sharing with us your immense experience in Giveaways.

I think the points you made about getting in contact with markers on giveaways leaders boards, tested price points for one's own organized giveaways event plus the resources for doing a Giveaway are simply invaluable.

Thanks,
Rick
