Hi,
Jonathan Leger has a really cool search engine where he tries out new techniques to deliver results based on actual usefulness of the page for the given topic.
http://shablast.com
How it works is explained here:
http://www.jonathanleger.com/the-problem-with-link-based-search-results/
I did some searches, and I found that the results seem to have better quality than the average google search result.
Shablast.com is surely a thing to keep an eye on. Especially seeing that google is watering down its results with useless stuff like real time search (did anyone ever see useful content in real time results?), questionable personalized search results etc.
I did a search for my own name, and at #1 it returned one of my first posts I ever made here.
No idea how it matched this up being the most relevant for my name, but it's a thread still worth reading. :D

P.S. Sorry for going off topic, the google spell checker just suggested to me to replace 'realtime results' with 'mealtime results.' Bon appetit!
