Hi, I am new to affiliate marketing and am still learning. My email address seems to be on every affiliate's list? How do affliate marketers get my email? Does anyone know how to obtain genuine leads without spending too much money?

You can use a product like the Internet Success Spider, or like Brad Callan's affiliate pro.

Tracy,

Use aweber.com, set up a landing page like http://youtubetrafficin.tk/ (Admins, apologies for the link-- I am poutting it in here just as a sample, but if its not acceptable by the site rules, please remove it right away), use KeywordSpy.com to generate keyword lists for your market, install Proper202 on your site at a subdomain and styart driving traffic.

You do need a budget for that kind of marketing though-- I wouldn't get in without at least a $1000... So I could generate a lits of 1000 prospects and that way I would have a source of contsant income-- simply by backing other people's products-- whom you could later invite to be your JV Partner.

No money for PPC? Use youtube for traffic then... Simply post exciting videos and place a link the description of the video and traffic wqill start coming in. That's slow, but sure, for sure.

Video marketing has worked well for me. And I use AWeber.

Great Post Lakshay!

Aweber is definitely the way to go if you're wanting to build a list
of subscribers. I would also suggest that you send the majority
of your traffic to a squeeze page, which will increase your opt-in
rate dramatically.

If you're looking for some free ways to build your list, here are
some of my favorites:

1. High-Profile Content Syndication - Instead of just posting your articles on sites
like EzineArticles.com, look for high-profile websites within your market that
you could start submitting articles to.

For example, if you had a website on health / fitness, you could submit your
articles to sites like:

http://www.naturalnews.com/021982.html
http://articles.mercola.com/submit/
http://www.naturalhealthweb.com/nhwarticles/submitarticle.html
http://healthywealthynwise.com/submissionguidelines.asp

These sites are going to bring you exponentially more visitors than general article directories.

2. Forum Marketing - If you are in the Internet Marketing space, then one of the best ways to build a list of highly targeted subscribers is to run a Free WSO on the Warrior Forum. http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-special-offers-forum/

There you would offer something of tremendous value in exchange for their name and email. This method alone brings me a couple hundred subscribers every time I post a free WSO offer.

3. Ebook Syndication - One of the best ways to to re-use and re-purpose your content is to combine your articles into an ebook and submit them to all of the top Ebook directories.

This is an extremely powerful technique that very few marketers are taking advantage of.

Simply combine your articles into a PDF ebook, which you can do for free at a site called http://www.youconvertit.com

In order to collect subscribers from your ebook, be sure to put an ad at the top of the ebook that points them to your squeeze page. You can also use a PDF PopUp to collect subscribers. (http://www.brothersoft.com/pdf-pop-up-pro-231969.html)

4. Ad Swaps - Once you’ve built a list of 1,000 subscribers, you can start using ad swaps to grow your list exponentially.

This is one of the best ways to build your list very quickly.

Ad swaps can add hundreds of subscribers to your list at a time.

Here are some places online where you can find other list owners who are looking to do ad swaps:

http://www.imadswaps.com

http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-joint-ventures/

An ad swap is simply when two list owners agree to email their
list about the the OTHER person's free offer. In this way, both
parties are getting their squeeze page in front of a new audience.
And as a result, they are both adding hundreds of subscribers to
their lists.

Keep in mind that it doesn't matter if your potential ad swap partner
has a bigger list size. For example, let's say you want to swap ads
with someone who has a list that has 10,000 subscribers and you have
1,000 subscribers. Not a problem! The person with 10,000 subscribers
would just send your ad out to 1,000 subscribers of their 10,000 person
list. So they would just send it to a segment of their list.

Ad swaps are one of the best ways to grow your list and start developing
relationships with other marketers in your niche.

Plus, the really cool thing about ad swaps is that you can do them
MULTIPLE times... with the same people!

Since both of your lists are growing all the time you can do an ad swap
with the same people on a monthly basis by sending the ad swap only to
your newest subscribers.

So you can actually set up monthly ad swaps with the same people and start growing your list on autopilot.

You definitely want to be capturing leads on your home page. The best way to do it is give the visitor a reason to give you their email, the best way is to give them something for free. You can use any auto responder system to do that, Aweber is a viable solution, but not the only one out there. Personally I like hosting my own system vs. paying someone else to do it and having to follow their rules.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned JVs (although Kim touched on ad swaps, which is similar).

BTW Kim, great post!

Tracy,

A few other great ways to get leads for free or very low cost are:

Write a short but content filled report with your website links in it and distribute it for free. It only has to be 8-10 pages long but remember to really deliver killer content on whatever the subject is.

Then, go and give it away on forums, comment on other's blogs, create videos and distribute through video feeds, classified ads sites like Craigslist, join some social sites like Myspace or Facebook and join a few groups, Google and Yahoo groups also work well, Twitter, Ebay classified ads work great, etc. Of course, always remember to include your link in anything you distribute so people will come back to your site.

There are a million ways and you have to get creative to keep up with the pack. Ever rewrite some private label material, which I'm sure you've gotten because you're on everyone's lists. There are also hundreds of sites where you can get free tools or software to help you do this. It's all available for free or very low cost. I hope that helps and take care.

Participate in free giveaways. They are a huge source of IM leads. I am sure you have access to some resell rights ebooks collecting digital dust on your hard drive. Contribute that to a free giveaway and you'll be able to obtain name and email addresses of people.

To find free giveaways type in " free giveaways" into google and you'll be amazed at how hom many opportunities there are out there.

Good luck.

Hi Tracey,

I agree. Aweber is good.

I finally got my own account after being an end user from the same product so many times before. I saw how well it assists marketers to capture and re-monetize contacts so well I had to think "I better get into this!" It's easy-as to set up and the system give you so many options to display thier form, manager campaigns and track lists.

I am building squeeze pages now that include Aweber. It's a good move.

Another very good source of leads is Co-registration. What is co-registration? Can you recall going to one of those high-profile, high-traffic sites like Forbes.com, and you decided to join one of their "investment tips" list?s. As soo nas you finish entering your details you are taken to another page where they ask you to take a look at some of their partners' offers, like opening a free stock trading account, etc. That is co-registration!. The so-called partners paid Forbes.com to appear on that page if you just click the check mark, Forbes forwards the exact same opt-in information you gave them to those partners, and when you receive info from those partners, you can not treat it as spam, because you voluntarily opted in. Though co-registration leads are not as hot as direct opt-ins, they are still very good leads to work with!. The downside is that getting them from such high-profile sites can be very expensive. I know of a site that offers co-registration campaigns for $399/month, but the number of leads you get can be very huge as much as 5-10,000 per month. If you have the budget it's sure worth it.

Hi Tracy,

I suggest you start an ezine in the niche you have chosen and get a PLR product that you can offer to all in exchange of their name and email address. And not to sound repetitive, Aweber is the way to go. Then, get a squeeze page to gather your leads.

Once you have this setup, join a giveaway event where you can offer your free PLR product to all interested in your niche. This is the fastest, cheapest and most reliable way to build a list to start.

Much success,
Tamara
